Humane Education
Education Programs Available
The Foothills Humane Society offers classes for students, teachers and community groups ages 4 and up. Our programs are available throughout Polk County and the Landrum/Campobello, SC area year-round. Customized programs are also available. Please contact us to discuss your ideas.
How Much Do The Humane Education Programs Cost?
All of the FHS humane education programs are FREE. However, any donation is gladly accepted. In addition to financial contributions here are some items that make a difference for the homeless pets in our care
- Dog food
- Puppy food

- Kitten food
- Canned cat food (no fish please)
- Laundry detergent
- Dish-washing soap
- Kitty litter
- Hard, rubber chewable toys
- Washable stuffed animals
- Towels
- Paper towels
Youth Programs
Kindness, compassion, respect and responsibility – are these qualities you’d like to teach your students? Join us for interactive and informative programs that teach these qualities while relating them to the companion animals in our lives. Through stories, games, role-playing and discussion students consider what these qualities mean and how they can incorporate them into their lives.
