Spay/Neuter Assistance Program

We help spay-neuter your pets!

Foothills Humane Society partners with local veterinarians to offer a Spay-Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) that provides vouchers for spay and neuter surgeries for residents of Polk County, NC and Landrum, Gowansville, Campobello, SC, who meet certain low-income eligibility criteria. These surgeries are not free to Foothills, but are paid by Foothills from funds donated by our generous community, in order to assist those families who otherwise could not afford the surgeries for their pets.

Please request a SNAP Voucher only if you cannot afford the surgery and you are willing to provide proof of residency and low-income as noted below. When scheduling your surgery with the veterinary office, you must notify them that this is SNAP Voucher surgery or the Voucher may not be accepted. Current rabies vaccinations or other vaccinations or procedures may be required and must be paid at your expense. Any additional charges by the veterinarian are your responsibility.
