Anxious about Adopting...?

Don’t be... Shelter animals are not broken or damaged goods...

They are perfectly wonderful dogs, cats, kittens and puppies who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Looking for a purebred dog?

Don’t Shop... Adopt! We might have just what you are hoping for... for much less!

Did you know 25% of animals found in shelters are purebred??? You don't need to go to a breeder and please, don’t go to a Pet Shop... many support Puppy Mills.

Please, come out and meet the many

Is Your Pet Microchipped? They should be...

They should be! Why? Because having your pet microchipped is one of the best ways to increase your pet's chances of getting home if he or she is lost or stolen and winds up at an animal shelter or veterinary office. Unlike dog tags and collars, which can fall off or be removed, microchipping is a more permanent form of identifying your dog or cat... FHS offers microchipping for just $15 - call 828-863-4444 to let us know when you would like to bring in your pet. Ot check out our calendar of events and come to one of our Low Cost Rabies/Vaccinations/Microchip clinincs right at FHS.
